Isn’t it beautiful?

While on the bus home from work I was flicking through the new edition of Gardeners World magazine and came across an advert for this beauty:

Isn’t it lovely? It would be perfect for the allotment (is it too early to hint for birthday presents if it’s in May?). It’s waterproof and you can connect your MP3 player. Just imagine beavering away in the shed chitting potatoes on a Saturday morning listening to Jonathan Ross, or transplanting courgettes to Chill on a Sunday afternoon. Or how about just lying back amongst the weeds on a warm spring evening listening to the Now Show or I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue? That would be great. Sigh. I wish these things weren’t so expensive.

  1. How expensive? Battery powered, I take it? Tell me more!

  2. It’s a rechargable battery that lasts for 15 hours. Which is a lot! Unfortunatly it costs £119.

  3. Nice, but I sstill want one of these (about £100): http://www.freeplayenergy.com/index.php?section=products&subsection=devo

    mmmmmmm, wind up…

  4. That’s the best thing in the world! I was not aware you could get a wind up DAB radio. And me and my friend Joe were saying over coffee yesterday afternoon about how great it would be to have something like that.

I need a pay rise now.

  5. Get them to write to me – I’ll tell ’em you’re worth every penny (but not one more, mind!)
